My Star Wars Basement pics are available for viewing HERE

A Long Time Ago...

I began collecting Star Wars memoribilia soon after seeing the original movie in 1977.  My first items were the trading cards and the Hildebrandt poster released by Factors.  The original 12 action figures soon followed after hitting the stores in 1978.  It started as an innocent obsession, ripping open the carded figures to act out scenes from the groundbreaking film-- not at all knowing, much less caring, about what their value would someday be.

The large toy vehicles came next.  One in particular served as a prelude to what would become a determination to obtaining items in mint or near-mint condition.  Topping my Christmas list in 1978 was Kenner's Millenium Falcon.  It was the largest and hottest Star Wars toy released at that time. Santa delivered that Christmas morning.  But upon opening the gift, my holiday cheer turned to grief.  I was heartbroken to discover the toy not only had missing or broken pieces... the entire hull of the ship was marked up with Crayon.  It was a store return.

My parents quickly corrected Santa's cruel mistake.  The replacement, although now in good but played-with condition, is still part of my collection today.  However, this site features only some of the more unique and more difficult to find Star Wars items in my possession.  I may not play with toys anymore, but the films, and the stuff that bares the Star Wars name, are what keep me feeling young at heart.
